2022-10-21 Fri 21:19 PM > [!-cf-]+ [[Related notes]] > - [[Internal Family Systems (IFS)]] > - [[A part with a job is a protector]] I’ve been appreciating that there are tons of [[Part_IFS|parts]]/subsystems that do helpful managerial jobs internally, and they want integration too. it’s not *just* about integrating the scared little children. eg a little bit ago I noticed a sub-system that evaluates trains of thought for interestingness. it reported that a train of thought was un-interesting, and when I double checked for objections there were none — nobody cared to continue thinking about the thing. So I dropped it. And I felt appreciation for this part, and a desire to support it in that role so that it can do this helpful job better and be heard more clearly by other parts/systems. Don't neglect the managers, just because they may be the historical oppressors of scared little children parts. Managers are parts too. Meet them with a [[Heart at peace]].
